The course is aimed at those with little software development skills, who wish to extend their knowledge. It is suitable for those who are already have ICT skills and who wish ot develop further knowledge and skills to support their career.

qualification will
I obtain?
On completion of the course, students will achieve the City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Software Development.
What
are the progression
opportunities?
This qualification has been designed to develop the knowledge and understanding required to enable progression to qualifications at Level 3 of the National Framework of Qualifications such as the City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Software Development.
Candidates who wish to further develop their knowledge and understanding at Level 2 and who wish to demonstrate their competence in a work-based context will be able to progress to the Level 2 Diploma For IT Practitioner.
